New funding and equipment

Nunwick Cricket Club were successful in gaining grant funding to provide an all-weather wicket and coach education cases.
They also received a grants from Eden District Council, Eden neighbourhood Forum and Cumbria Community Foundation. The most notable secured was from Voluntary Action Cumbria through their DEFRA programme of “Rural Social & Community Programme” to provide this website to ease communication in the rural area, the site is being developed by local company Appropriate Solutions . The club also received equipment from the Lord Taverners’ and Barclays Spaces for Sport.
Club Mark Accreditation

Nunwick Cricket Club has gained the ECB/ Sport England Club Mark accreditation, only the second club in Eden to do so and one of the first in the county to achieve the recognition under the new rules.
This is in recognition of the excellent work carried out by the coaches and volunteers of the club.
Team Placings 2007

The first XI had been crowned Champions of the EVCL Division 1 thus gaining promotion to the EVCL premiership while the 2nd XI had consolidated there position.
This was particularly pleasing due to the number of juniors which were now playing for both teams after graduating from the junior section.
The junior teams continue to hold their own under very competitive conditions.
