Unfortunately the weather conditions (again!!) around Nunwick and Great Salkeld during the day have caused the abandonment of this evenings practice session.
The next session will be as normal on Tuesday 4 August 2009.

Junior Coaching for the 2009 season will commence on Tuesday 5th May 2009 and will continue every tuesday til the 24th August 2009at the cricket ground Nunwick.
Boys and Girls are very welcome to attend:
School Years 2 to 6 (Infant & Junior School ages) should attend for the first session from 6:15pm to 7:15pm.
School Years 7 to 11 (Secondary School ages) should attend the second session from 7:20pm to 8:30pm (dusk).
Refreshments are available.
Qualified ECB coaches will lead every session and the club will provide quality coaching in a safe secure environment
Under 11, Under 13 and Under 15 teams have been entered in the Cumbria Junior Cricket League.

As part of the improvement programme at Nunwick Cricket Ground a number of trees have been planted. This was part of the current phase of the improvements, which includes the provision of a new non-turf net area, storage shed and making the pavilion more accessible. All of the above has been funded by grants.
Myles Thompson Chairman of Nunwick Cricket Club said “The club would like to take this opportunity to show their appreciation to the following organisations for their generous help in not only improving the facilities at the ground but also the environment, without their generosity these improvements would not have been possible” The grants have been donated by Eden Neighbourhood Forum (Cumbria County Council), Cumbria Community Foundation, Cumbria Playing Fields Association, Eden District Council, Hadfield Trust, England & Wales Cricket Board and Cumbria Waste Management Environmental Trust from both the Landfill Tax Grant Scheme and the Cumbria Aggregates Levy Sustainability Fund.

The main club fund raiser of the year is upon us again. Please support the raffle as this helps run the club for the forthcoming season.
The raffle tickets are available from all the officials and players. The draw will take place at the Highland Drove 20th December 2008 after 7pm and the prises will be distributed prior to the Christmas holidays.
Anyone wishing to attend the draw are more than welcome. Any volunteers ticket crunchers would be greatly appreciated.
